Day 3 Ashnil Samburu

Awoken at 5am with a massive thunder storm and torrential rain. I tried for some photos but gave up eventually for fear of wrecking my camera, the rain was coming into the front of the tent. Still went ahead with the game drive and saw crocodiles, Lions, Warthogs and most of the animal species that we saw the previous day. A nice trip and nowhere near as dusty as the previous day.
After retuning and having breakfast we went on a trip to the Samburu tribes village. This village was made up of mud huts constructed in a dome with whatever materials they could get their hands on. Corrugated iron, cardboard, some canvas, branches and cow shit for the roofs. Again I felt humbled. Then it was back for dinner, another game drive at 16:30 and back to our camp for more food.
This has been a very enjoyable holiday so far but restful, in no way has it been restful. It has been busy but fun. Tomorrow we must be up for breakfast by 06:45  and then leave on our journey to our next accommodation.

Thunder Storm
